Our story
Since 1887 the BETH name has stood for one thing: engineering that makes industries cleaner, safer and more efficient. What began in Germany as a focused industrial filtration enterprise grew into R&R BETH GmbH, an engineering group trusted by process industries, power plants, steel mills, cement facilities, foundries and chemical manufacturers worldwide.
BETH INDIA is not a representative office, and not a trading desk. It is a full engineering and project execution entity, established to carry the Group's capability directly into Indian and South Asian markets.

The world's first bag filter
Engineer W.F.L. Beth founds the company in Lübeck, having patented the world's first bag filter on 26 January 1886, granted by the Kaiserliches Patentamt as No. 38396.
The first baghouses
The initial series of baghouses is constructed from wood and equipped with a mechanical rapping system for automatic cleaning.
Wood becomes steel
BETH baghouses begin to be built from metal to ensure broader applicability and long-term durability.
Industry adopts BETH
The BETH bag filter quickly expands across industrial sectors. Through the 20th century, the BETH machine factory grows into a global leader in industrial dedusting solutions.
Synonymous with dedusting
Reducing and capturing dust emissions transforms industrial production, making it more efficient, cleaner and safer. Before long, “BETH Filter” becomes synonymous with dedusting itself.
Electrostatic precipitators
BETH expands its product range to include both wet and dry electrostatic precipitators, charging and collecting particulate where fabric filtration reaches its limits.
The Mini-ESP
A miniaturisation research project completes, introducing the BETH Mini-ESP for smaller boilers up to 1 MW, compact enough for tight spaces such as basements, with no compromise on performance.
Engineering in 3D
BETH transitions to 3D design, transforming construction and project planning so customers can visualise their future plant with striking realism, even at the proposal stage.
R&R BETH is formed
BETH joins forces with R&R-Technik, uniting decades of independent engineering under a single newly formed group: R&R BETH.
